Uganda Police have confirmed that One person lost his life at Lydia Jazmine’s Maiden First Born Concert which was held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Hotel Africana in Kampala City.
Detectives also confirmed an investigation has begun to determine the exact cause of the death.
Police have identified the deceased as Bonus Aine Akankwatsa a worker at Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) TV and Uganda Communications Commission (UCC).
Aine was Reportedly beaten into pulp while trying his way to enter Hotel Africana for Lydia Jazmine’s maiden concert dubbed Last Born Concert.
According to Police, Aine was rushed to Mulago Hospital for treatment but he breath his last as he was beaten too badly.
Kampala Police Spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire said Police have arrested one suspect in the name of Kirema Sharif.
Kirema has been detained at Jinja Road Police Cell.
