Norbert Mao heaped with praises after inviting Jacob Oulanyah’s father to address the mourners
Jacob Oulanyah’s Father Mr. Nathan Okori Finally Made Speech At His Son’s Burial With The Help of Norbert Mao.
Norbert Mao was yesterday hailed by the public after he used his opportunity given to address mourners to invite Jacob Oulanyah’s father who was earlier on announced not to make a speech at his son’s burial to talk to the mourners.
Days before the burial of Jacob Oulanyah, the organizing committee informed mourners that Oulanyah’s father Mr. Nathan Okori will not address the mourners due to his underlying illness which mourners believe it was just a move to gag Mr. Okori not to talk about the poisoning of his deceased son.
When Mao gave chance to Mr. Okori to give speech at the funeral, he stands strong to his point that his son was poisoned.
“I’m not mourning in vain. I want to say it clearly. Jacob was poisoned. He told me. The poison affected his health so much and by the time he was flown out for treatment, it was too late. He could not recover,” Mr. Okori stated.
“Oulanyah was not just my son, he was a son to the whole country. Oulanyah has been taking care of many people who depended on him.”
Mr. Okori also used the opportunity to ask the government to complete his son’s house and many unfinished and many unfinished initiatives so that the income can support the family together with the grandchildren he left behind.
Mr. Okori concluded, “Jacob was like a father to us. Madam Speaker now that you are occupying the seat that Jacob was occupying, you have to take his place and act like a parent.”
