Having a lot of followers as an Artiste does not mean you are successful

If you have 2m followers, it doesn’t mean you have 2m fans, you still have more jobs to do converting your followers to fans, and fans to hardcore fans.

A follower can be a friend, colleague, family or someone who followed you by Instagram algorithm suggestion, sponsored ads or seen you perform in shows. A follower can easily unfollow you if you didn’t convince him/her that you are worth following, a follower may not even know your song, but he knows you as an artist.

Fans are people who listen to your music, have a few of your songs on their devices, can pay tickets to watch you perform and as well be ready to hear your new song. (A fan may not necessarily be your follower on social media)
A fan can easily be converted to a hardcore fan or back to a follower, it all depends on how you manage your brand.

Hardcore fans are fans who can do the undo for your case, hardcore fans can pay any amount to watch you perform, if you cough, add a beat to it and release it, they are ready to stream it, they fight on your behalf on social media, they follow you everywhere both on social media and streaming platforms…

Until you can convert followers to fans and fans to hardcore fans, that is when you should beat your chest and say I am an artist.

Keeping fans & hardcore fans is still not easy that is why you need a music PR and strategist who can help keep your brand afloat while you concentrate on the creative part of being an artist…
NOTE: Fans and Hardcore fans usually don’t know you from Adam…
