The unfinished journey of the late, Happy Birthday Doreen Angee.
Today we commemorate the fallen queen Doreen Angee, who perished in a terrible road accident on 23rd December 2021 at the age of 25 years while on her way to Gulu. Today it’s her Birthday.
Doreen was one of the most industrious act in the region as far as the Northern music industry is concerned. She could starve for Northern Music Industry to evolve.
HOW THE TERRIBLE ACCIDENT HAPPENED
On 24th December 2021, Northern Uganda Entertainment Industry woke up in to a sad news, it was a dark morning that day, most people couldn’t believe that news, the Internet and the media houses was blowing and brushing the breaking news about the passing of JNC Entertainment CEO, Doreen Angee, the news was painted everywhere.
Doreen was a tall beautiful Acholi lady who went to the Netherlands at teenage age, spent most of her youthful life in the Netherlands, stayed abroad for over 9 years without stepping into their home which is in Gulu, Uganda for visits or holidays all those years.
While coming back home in Uganda, nobody knew about her holiday trip as she wanted to surprise her family in Uganda after 9 years of separateness from family and friends in Uganda, she had plans to surprise her family and friends in Gulu for 2021 festive season, that was her major reason for the holiday trip.
On 21st December 2021, she began her journey from the Netherlands to Uganda, she fled from the Netherlands with Qatar Airline to Dubai, and reached Uganda on 22nd Dec, and on 23rd Dec she left Kampala for Gulu, she was accompanied by 4 friends. This 4 friends where Judas Rapknowledge (Hiphop Rapper), Fiona Alobo who was the driver, Apiyo Mercy Pamela, and Laber Jamex.
While on her way to Gulu with the friends, they had a head-on collision with a trailer in Koro along Gulu-Kampala Highway.
They were later rushed to the Hospital after the horrible accident, that night Doreen was admitted at Gulu Referral Hospital, unfortunately she didn’t make it and breathed her last in the morning of 24th Dec, she was confirmed to have died of blood clotting.
DOREEN’S SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Doreen was a nurse, a model and a dancer. In 2020, she emerged as the 1st Runner up Miss East Africa 2020/2021. She established a record label tagged JNC Entertainment supporting the music business in Northern Uganda.
JNC Entertainment is an international music record label with the headquarters situated in Brisbane, Australia. Branches are currently in U.S.A, U.K and Uganda.
She left two young thriving Artistes under the label’s branch in Uganda that she was nurturing, that is; Shan A, and Lampy Joseph.
Her death left many entertainment stakeholders, family members, and friends in shock. We pray she finds peace wherever she is.
